  • Don't use solvent motor flushes. They clean too well. Their big complaint has to do with their 5 minute flush time. They clean so well they release engine sludge and ir often blocks motor oil passage ways. This will starve bearings and lifters of oil. Severe wear sets in and a sudden engine failure can result. My tip? Avoid fast engine flushes, and use flushes that work as you drive as they are more selective to riding the engine issues that removing sludge just sitting there doing go harm.
  • Don't put thick, gooey engine oil additives into a troubled engine. Why put thick, gooey stuff in your oil to make it sticky when the engine is already full of sticky residues? Thicking the oil makies it harder for thick oil to quickly work between moving parts to cool and lubricate when thick. Todays vehicles use 0w, 5w, 10w motor oils.
