Running, owning an auto repair shop lets you make all the income a dealer Makes off your labor -- or so I thought.

When you figure out your bills due and money in the bank from repairs you sold, the money isn't there you thought should be. 

The solution to its disappearence comes from careful analyses of time and unprofitable duties.

This realization exposed a second weakness most repair shops have. They are copycat businesses.

When I noticed customers were impressed with it, I doubled its price. That did not reduce the comments made about it.

So, I added it to every repair. It took some thinking on howmto promote it, and this is how it was solved. 

At the cash register when customers paid the bill, I told them I add yet another product to clean up their engine to solve its present issue. And to drive for a week with it in the car, then drive inin in a week to do an oil change and add a couple protectors to prevent such future troubles. 

That became a kind of loyalty building, but a $100 more profitable thing customers came to me for oil changes. 

These little actions added up to a couple thousand dollars more income.

More good besides picking up a couple hundred dollars more work from customers that had a 50% more profit to it. 

A customer retuned about 6 month later and said he had an oil changes and the car reverted back to its oil buring. "Could I put my worn motor treatment back in it, to keep it from getting worst again?
