You may suspect the oil and fluids can't prevent our vehicle's operating and mechanical issues. What Can?
You will see and be surprised why, and to my surprise, why the best oils, fluid labels, and services say they reduce wear and help protect your vehicles. They don't, as this "what really lubes and protects vehicles" video shows.
Let me take you on oils journer to see why they cause your problems.
You would notice that, as the oils and coolants lubricate your vehicles, a discovery at the micro level shows oil resembling soft, marble-like B-Bs rolling between the moving parts. As pistons, bearings, valves, and gears roll, slide, push, and pull, the movement pushes through the oil film, and they touch metal-to-metal.
This involves touching and sliding against the opposite metal side.
You would notice the intensity of the main issues as oils lose lubrication breakdown. Metal-to-metal contact keeps occurring, raising the friction heat to the melting range. Mechanics and race car owners who see the issue develop call them Hot Spots. These can now be done away with to end the causes of your automotive issues and problems.
A weld occurs in that split metal touching second. Then, as the parts move, the strongest side of the weld holds, while the weakest breaks off. Trouble originates from this and this other source, which we can now control with additives.
Were you to be there, you would notice that combustion temperatures reach 2000 degrees, and that fuels, oils, and coolants burn and degrade, and their acidic nature intensifies.
Floating in the coolant and oil, the burnt oils and lubricant molecules park on those roughened surfaces when the vehicle sits overnight. The acidic oil and coolant particles create an electric field that draws molecules away, and a pit forms.
You would notice that as friction and contact with acids occur, wear begins. Yet the oil and coolant did nothing to stop it.
As the burnt fuel, oil, and coolant build up in volume, their molecular numbers increase, which you can notice, causing your oil to get darker. Your collants seem dirtier.
As the oil and coolant degrade, a sludge develops and now build up on these roughened parts. They are the cause of problems with:
- Valve stems collect a tar-like film,
- As do combust ion areas,
- Fuel injectors won't fog the fuel,
- Mufflers clog up,
- Valve lifters tap,
- Piston rings allow oil consumption,
- Gears howl.
- The bushings and bearings throughout the many bumper-to-bumper components start failing.
You can change the oil and coolant because they deteriorate over time. The new oils and collant go in and start bathing in the film contaminants. They are too sticky to drain out. By 100,000 miles, 1% to 3% of cars have already experienced a failure and repaired under warranty. From then on, the car or equipment owner pays for any repair needed.
What I learned from Carl Wynn who developed a solution out of a can.
