Best engine treatment?

With over 30 years experience selling additives, I've seen additives improve. But, I'm with "Bob, the oil guy," on Lucas. You can find him on the internet. He is not that impressed with Lucas.

Oil dilution, a condition caused by combustion blow-by is what thins the oil with diesel or gas, lots of water condensation; all acid-loaded, and particulates.

Products like STP, Justice Brothers Oil Treatment, Mega Power Oil Treatment, are superior to Lucas and require half the volume, and they throw in needed metal conditioners, another advantage. They reduce friction drag and acid damage. Those brands have been used in new engines at the factory.

Today's engines are using thinner oils to reduce the extra fuel it takes to reduce resistance of the motor spinning in a heavy oil.

When piston rings are sticking - and permitting blow-by, which dilutes the oil, it indicates a treatment like the Mega Power Worn Motor Treatment may be what's needed to free, and keep free the pistons sticky rings.

Still, one man's food is another's man's poison. So, If Lucas makes you happy - I say stick with it.
