Why I don't trust AMSOIL engine flush - and neither should you! Here's why... and what is much better!

The problem. Cleaning a dirty motor

AMSOIL Fast Acting Engine Flush is sold to clean such a motor.

However, this product contains solvents, and solvents increase engine friction and wear, not decrease wear. Their ad says...

"AMSOIL Fast Acting Engine Flush is a carefully selected blend of solvents and special cleaning agents that dissolve and disperse harmful deposits formed in the crankcase, and cylinder walls, pistons and rings of an internal combustion engine. When used as directed, it cleans and restores operating efficiency to valves, valve lifters, rocker arms, and pistons for improved horsepower, fuel economy, and performance." [Bold and italics added by me for emphasis, not the advertiser].

Decreasing wear, and longer engine life is the goal, right?

Not the possibly increasing wear in the cleaning process.

I use Amsoil in my car - so, I'm not against their oils. I just think their solvent engine flush is good for an engine. Please note why...

Wouldn't an engine cleaner that cleans safely without solvents, and reduces friction and wear also, be better, safer for the job of cleaning out impurities in your engine?

Ordinarily, a person goes for the most good in a product that cleans their motor, even if there are negatives - like using solvents to clean with.

However, there are better and safer ways to clean and protect - and, also end problems a dirty motor may have.

The better way is to clean with new detergent cleaners - that also clean better - safely, and reduce friction, as this company, Mega Power offers.

Note that the Amsoil Engine Flush ad, quoted next, says; there are "solvents" in their engine flush.

"AMSOIL Fast Acting Engine Flush is a carefully selected
blend of solvents and special cleaning agents that dissolve and disperse harmful deposits formed in the crankcase, and cylinder walls, pistons and rings of an internal combustion engine. When used as directed, it cleans and restores operating efficiency to valves, valve lifters, rocker arms, and pistons for improved horsepower, fuel economy, and performance."

What you should know...

Solvents do clean but they also

Wipe-clean the much needed and critical oil-film separating pistons, bearings, cam shafts, valve lifters, and gears - from sudden destruction.

Lacking oil even for a moment causes a sudden increase in friction and abrasion - and that cannot be good for your motor, can it? That would mean your gaining one benefit and introducing a negative, right?

For the "good" the this brand is famous for

I do not understand why they now promote solvents to clean your engine - when, for 20 years they sold us on the idea that their oil CLEANED better than anybody's oil and lasted longer.

Solvents in their product are more harmful than good - don't you agree?

I just put Amsoil in my transmission - so I'm not against their oils, just this flush product. As a mechanic...

I recommend Mega Power Engine Flush and Mega Power Oil Treatment before and after an oil or fluid change.

This Demo explains why the protective ingredient in Mega Power - MC+ is important to your vehicles long term health and dependability. Mega Power provides what Amsoil oil and cleaners do not provide!

You seen the demo, now read what Mega Power does to be the "best cleaning and protecting method an engine and transmission can have!"

Try it risk free for 6 months, then you decide which is best for your engine and transmission cleanliness and protection.
